Below we list software and resources that either have been built by or are being used regularly by the Wall lab.
Roundup : Large-scale database of orthology covering over 220 publicly available genomes. The orthologs are computed using the Reciprocal Smallest Distance (RSD) algorithm.
Reciprocal Smallest Distance (RSD) : Software used in Roundup to calculate orthologs and associated evolutionary distances between two genomes.
AutWorks:
View and search through the network of genes implicated in Autism Spectrum Disorder and related neurological diseases.
Phylomonography: Web system for dynamic navigation through the phylogeny of the tropical moss Mitthyridium.
Nextbio @ Harvard: Harvard enterprise site (restricted to Harvard). NextBio is a life science search engine that enables researchers and clinicians to access and understand the world's life sciences information
Transfac @ Harvard: Harvard access only
SFARI gene: A publicly available web-portal for genes associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder based on published literature.
GeneProspector (HuGENavigator): Gene Prospector is a bioinformatics tool designed to sort, rank, and display information about genes in relation to human diseases, risk factors and other phenotypes.
Nextbio: NextBio is a life science search engine that enables researchers and clinicians to access and understand the world's life sciences information
Our lab is interested in computational approaches to understanding biological function and the genetic basis of diseases. Our work falls into three interrelated aims.
